arabian: (Beckett & Castle)
Once again, another thoroughly enjoyable episode of Castle. Man, I hope the ratings fall isn't too drastic and that this has a chance. I really enjoy it.

This is a combo post about the first and second week of DwtS, I'm just concentrating on certain couples and skimming over the rest that bore me (or don't annoy me for whatever reason) ....

I love these two shows so much, there are no words. None at all. Well, okay, probably quite a bit of a ramble under the cut, but I haven't written it yet, so who knows how long (or short) I'll go tonight. I'm thinking not too bad personally.

Sarcasm. Goodbye. )

Although earlier reports said she "brain dead and not likely to survive," they've since offered retractions. The latest: "The hospital tells TMZ Richardson is sedated and suffering from brain swelling -- but is not brain dead."

What happened ...
Actress Natasha Richardson, reportedly in serious condition with head trauma in a Montréal hospital after a ski accident Monday at Mont Tremblant, was walking around and feeling fine for an hour after her accident, a spokesperson from the ski resort says.

"She was laughing and joking and she walked to her room on her own," Mont Tremblant spokesperson Catherine Lacasse says.

The British-born Richardson, 45, was not wearing a ski helmet when she was taking a private ski lesson on the Nansen, a beginners' run at Mont Tremblant. When she was near the bottom of the run in a section know as the flats, she fell down. According to the spokeswoman, Richardson did not hit anyone or anything before coming to a stop. "She was accompanied by an experienced ski instructor who immediately called the ski patrol," according to a statement from the resort.

Lacasse tells PEOPLE that there were no cuts, bleeding or other external signs of injury. Ski patrollers assisted Richardson and helped her to her room. She was not put on a stretcher. About an hour after the fall, Richardson started complaining of headaches. She went to a nearby hospital and was later transferred to the Intensive Care Unit of Sacré Coeur Hospital. (A spokesperson for the hospital would not confirm or deny that Richardson was a patient there.)

According to AccessHollywoood.com, her husband, actor Liam Neeson, 56, was filming the movie Chloe in Toronto when he got the news and rushed to be by Richardson's side. Richardson, who appeared in The Parent Trap, Maid in Manhattan and Nell has been married to Neeson since 1994. They have two sons, Micheal Richard Antonio, 13, and Daniel Jack, 12.
Oh, I hope she pulls through.

Dancing With the Stars led into week two of new drama Castle, which finished second (behind CBS’ CSI: Miami) with 11.48 million viewers and a 3.1/ 9 among adults 18-49. One week earlier, it debuted with 10.76 million viewers and a 3.0/ 8 in the demo, according to the final nationals, so this is promising. But retention out of the 9:30 p.m. portion of Dancing With the Stars still lagged at 52 percent in total viewers and 54 percent among adults 18-49, and the show dipped at 10:30 p.m. as follows:

Castle (ABC)
10:00 p.m. – Viewers: 12.63 million; A18-49: 3.4/ 9
10:30 p.m. – Viewers: 10.33 million; A18-49: 2.8/ 8
Percent Change – Viewers: -18, A18-49: -18

Since 4 out of 5 new shows drop in week two, I will give Castle props for the minor increase.
WOOHOO!!!! This is VERY promising for the show. YES!!!!!
