Addison 'Grey's Spin-Off

Walt Disney Co.'s television network ABC has decided to pursue a spinoff of its popular medical drama "Grey's Anatomy," the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday. It will star Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepherd, the sexy neonatal surgeon played by Kate Walsh, the paper said. A two-hour pilot of the show, which could add millions in additional advertising revenue, is likely to air in May, the paper said.

Could be good, could be eh, but honestly the idea of a show built around Addison?! I'm in bliss. And if Alex goes with her? Heaven, I'm in heaven ...

I'm about six episodes behind on Grey's, but I love Addison. She's become my favorite character, hands down. I wonder if an OB/neo-nate show could sustain itself storywise, though.

That actually is good news to me. I stopped watching Grey's because I found Meredith and McDreamy so freakin' annoying. But I liked the style of the show and the other characters well enough. So if they had the same kind of mood but told it through Addison's eyes, I feel like I could watch it again without being annoyed all the time.

Oh, yeah, I CAN'T stand Mere/McDreamy -- I watch it for Addison, Addison/Alex, George, Izzy, potential George/Izzie and Callie.

I wonder if they would do the same VO stuffies...

Addison just ROCKS so much, it's not even funny.

I actually think it could sustain itself because the vagaries and issues with pregnancy-related medical stuff might be THE most varied out there. It could suck, but I think it's possible it will work.

Addison is basically the main reason I watch Grey's. I think I might be a little bit in love with her. If this happened, I would most definitely follow her show and would probably drop Grey's because a Grey's without Addison just seems blegh to me!

Well, I'll still watch Grey's because I love George and Izzie and Callie (just not Callie with George) and I couldn't give them up. But Addison? Is a goddess! How can you not have a crush on her? Seriously.
