Finally finished S3 of Dr. Who, watched ep 1 of S4 ...

Expect a looooooooooooong post in the next week or so commenting on Rose, Martha, Donna, the Rose/Doctor (Nine and Ten!) relationship, Eccleston vs. Tennant, the three season finales, and fandom thought (okay, TWoP -- I know, I know, it's a sickness) that I pretty majorly disagree with.

I know, ooooh, so exciting. How can anyone wait?

I haven't watched Dr. Who at all, but I can't imagine watching David Tennant in anything on purpose after he was so over the top in Goblet of Fire. My God he was stupid in that!

Watch the first season. It stars Christopher Eccleston. And, yes, Tennant is goofy at times as the Doctor -- he starts second season, BUT the Doctor IS goofy at times, and he also does the serious, hard-hitting stuff really well. But watch the first season. I actually waited almost two full years before I watched the second without Eccleston because I loved him so, but aside from still preferring Eccleston (I mean, come on! It's Christopher Eccleston!) I actually preferred season two overall. And Tennant won me over to loving him too. (I so have got to make a Rose/Ten icon, I really, really do!!)

Ah, but that's S3. I think Doomsday and Christmas Invasion has the best Tennant serious Doctor stuff. FoB was well-done, and heart-breaking but he wasn't the Doctor through the angst.

Well yeah that one isn't so much angsty Doctor, I was more referring to in that one we see him as hard as he can be when he's taking care of them in the end

True, very true.
