A few things ...
Dollhouse got renewed. I'm happy about that, but also very, very sad because the news was that Fox was leaning towards renewing either DH or Terminator. Obviously, I would have much preferred T:SCC even though I do love DH. I adore T:SCC. In my opinion, it's the best show on television right now and, oh, it's just so sad because it's brilliant tv. Ah well. But yay for Dollhouse and more Enver Gjokaj.
ETA:!! AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Castle and Better Off Ted were renewed. Yay, yay, yay, yayyers!!!!!!!!!! These are two of my new favorite shows. So very happy about that. Also thrilled about Lie To Me being renewed. It still has problems and kinks that need to be worked out, but I really do love it and Tim Roth is just, ooh, marvelous.
That leaves T:SCC (still a long shot, but not canceled ... yet, sigh). And, hmm, so they DID renew Scrubs. I do love this show, but it had SUCH a fantastic finale, I don't know. I'll still watch it, but I kinda wish they hadn't renewed it. The entire season was a wrap-up to a series finale, so it feels kinda weird. Hmm.
The Big Bang Theory -- Hmm, it was pretty meh, but Sheldon was hilarious. I didn't like JUST how mean and nasty the other three were about Sheldon, and when the show does stuff like that it makes me wonder why the hell any of the three hang out with Sheldon at all then. It's just too much some times. I also didn't like how we got Penny not reacting at all to the others leaving, just Leonard. I also do not buy this Leonard/Penny thing. It's come out of nowhere, they have NO chemistry and they're just boring.
But I'm glad they actually went there these last two episodes because if TPTB did this to gauge reaction to compare it to the growing Sheldon/Penny buzz ... well, S&P buzz completely blew L/P away. Oh yeah. So, this may turn out better for my couple in the long-run. Meh or not, L/P-heavy or not, I still love this show so much. So funny.
Survivor -- THANK GOD!! COACH IS GONE!!! Stephen or Taj FTW now. I so want them as my final two. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much! And I miss Sierra and Brendan, but they're great at the jury and in the 'Ponderosa' videos. Oh, they would have been my dream final two. Oh wells. Get me Stephen or Taj with either winning there and I'll be happy.
American Idol -- I know that AI is fixed to a degree and all of that good stuff but I finally watched this week's full episodes and I was really, REALLY ticked off that they let Katy Perry go on stage as she did. Wearing a cape emblazoned with Adam Lambert's name prominently displayed??! That was just wrong. Totally unfair and utterly and completely biased. Sure, it was her decision and if she'd refused to not wear it, fine, they could have had a long-shot where the name wasn't visible to the viewers. That just really struck me as foul play. We all know he's gonna win anyway (ugh) can NOT stand him. (I try, I really do. His "One" was just GORGEOUS to start out with and then he began screeching and sneering and ugh, completely destroyed it.) But to allow just blatant support like that? That was just wrong.
Now a squee - AI-related, apparently, Kris has a better shot than I thought of winning because according to Seacrest on Larry King Live, Kris trailed Adam by only ONE MILLION VOTES out of 88 million. That's nothing! Especially if you factor in that some of Gokey's fans might vote for Kris now. Nah, Adam will still win, but knowing that Kris has even a teeny shot now makes me happy cuz I heart him so. :) Ooh, I'm gonna play all of my pre-AI and AI-ITunes Kris songs now.
Doctor Who -- ROSE IS OFFICIALLY BACK!!!!! Billie Piper was seen filming, there are pictures. It's pre-Rose meeting the Doctor, so that whole Rose/TenII thing likely has no validity, which makes me sad because I want a small glimpse, just a teeny one that they are happy there for the naysayers and just to cap it off for those of us who loved it because even though I loved it, the ending could be interpreted either way due to the lack of smiles.
Now for my favorite thing about the pictures!?!?!? Rose is wearing the "Boom Town" scarf!!! SQUEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is all.

Now about that new picture there, hmmm. So we know it's the Doctor running into rose pre-"Rose" and there's this shot of the Doctor looking devastated:
What I find interesting and didn't notice until I was looking for a scarf picture, is that he and Rose are both near the same area -- the brick wall in the background -- and both have nearly matching looks of devastation, and both are leaning, one hand on the wall to give support. So, I'm a-pondering that one. there. Hmmmm.
Non-fandom-specific related. I DO NOT understand why people do not realize that any reaction/comment about spoilers/an episode BEFORE the cut is a spoiler. I've been casually spoiled about two significant things twice in the last week because based on the comment (and reading that poster's journal regularly), I knew exactly what happened. Plus, huge, emotional responses -- even without specifics -- SPOIL viewers who haven't seen stuff yet. It's just ... sigh, frustrating. If you're going to talk about a show, your strong emotional reaction, or confirm a supposition you've made countless times actually playing out BEFORE THE CUT? You're spoiling.
