Stupid Non-Discussion Having Discussion Forum

I'm so annoyed. A discussion board -- that shall not be named, it is completely un-VM-related though -- hurt my feelings. I know, I know, it's stupid to have my feelings hurt over something so trivial, but there you have it. It's a discussion board, you'd think discussion would be something that would, you know, happen -- but no, instead I was laughed at. Meanies.

Sorry. :( Basically, the way I look at it is that I inadvertently hurt people's feelings all the time, so I try to keep that in mind and not take it personally. But it hurts anyway, no matter how I try to talk myself out of it.

Also keep in mind that no one really wants to talk about anything these days. It's so quiet online.

Thanks, but trust me there was nothing inadvertent about it. "Get a hobby!" Damnit, this is my hobby, LOL! I just think, little people. Silly, little people.

It IS quiet. I understand with the holidays, but I have no family or friends around me so it's pretty much status quo and it's just weird seeing the total deadness online. Ah well, good time to get caught up on the Scrubs and Rome and Battlestar Galactica and ... life? What life?

Nah, not a soap board. Thanks for offering to have my back, though! :) I just posted a few paragraphs about something and people responded that I basically needed a life and then laughing faces at me. Just meanies. I'm over it. [small voice] Almost. [/small voice]

Awww - I hate that! I can't believe this is the first time I've gotten to your LJ. I just noticed the link to it at the bottom of your post on the board. (Yes, yes - I am now sitting in the idiot's corner wearing the dunce cap. Um . . . how long do I have to sit here?)

I imagine you probably discuss spoilers for VM here but I would like to add you to my flist Jennifer. I hope that's okay? I'll try and be careful to avoid seeing things.

Oh, cool. I friended you too! If I ever do discuss spoilers, they are always behind the cut and I say it's a spoiler, so no fears there.

Yes, internet meanies bite! Unlike GWTW which rules!!! I wanted a standard button that I knew I would never grow tired of and since I've been a GWTW fan since I was 11 and this is my fave still from the film, but not one of the more commonly used ones (and it fit my lj color scheme) I decided to go for it. I'm still not happy with my journal title, still working on that one.

OMG you are scaring me.

I have been a GWTWT fan for more years then I can coun. I have quite an extensive collection and kind of consider myself a bit of an authority on its history. Pl\us we both love VM and Deadwood and X-Files. Get out of my head
