Dexter -- all done watched!

Finally caught up and watched all of season 3 of Dexter.

Awesome. I think that this one may have actually been better than season one, it was that good. If not better, definitely as good. Jimmy Smits was AWESOME, and man Miguel was sooo in love with Dexter, LOL!, too bad he turned out to be more psychotic than Dexter. Interesting how the show always manages to create someone (and all three seasons it's been different) so much more psychotic-seeming than Dexter, so it's easy to continue to root for him. And heck, they had the Skinner also this season, giving us two psychos more psycho than Dex for the price of one.

Random thoughts ...

- As always, I love Rita, and Rita and Dexter.
- I liked the side love stories of Deborah, Angel and Vince.
- I felt so for Vince when no one when to his seminar. Poor, foul-mouthed Vince.
- I continue to be quite impressed with how absolutely brother-sister that Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter play Dexter and Deborah, considering they're dating in real life.
- Maria has somehow become one of my favorite characters.
- With that said, after Dexter, Angel is totally my favorite.

Good show. DAMN GOOD SHOW!

I've seen it on TONS of year-end-best lists, and it deserves to be there.

Where are these people and are their brains working properly?! This season kicked BOOTAY!!!! I seriously think it might have been better than the first one and the first one was AWESOME!

HA! Seriously? I've only seen S1, but this amuses me greatly. :D

(what is it with siblings on TV shows dating? The actors who played Shannon and Boone on "Lost" dated, as well... ;)

Yeah, but they "dated" on the show, too. LOL!

These two actors really do an amazing job as brother/sister, nothing squirm-inducing ever at all.

Oh, and on your icon, did you catch the somewhat shipperish tones in a few of the Cutter/Connie scenes in the last episode? I loved.

I did not -- but I haven't seen the last few L&Os...they are waiting for me on the DVR. :) I'm excited (and SO happy they're bringing the 'ship back...after last season's ending eps and the season premiere, I thought they might've dropped it :( )

No, the ratings have been solid enough; that's partly why they brought it back, but woohoo!!! It's just so been awesome. (Of course, I liked last season and the season before that as well, though, LOL!)

I adored season 3. I thought it was just so much awesome. I love how each season Dexter becomes a little more human, and I loved/hated that he thought he had a friend. I also loved Rita/Dexter and the proposal scene. And there was a fairly happy ending to the season, as well, which was cool.

S2 was always my favorite, but I pretty much love all three seasons equally. Dexter is probably my favorite show of all time (yes, even above Doctor Who) and I cannot wait for September '09.

Really, S2 was your favorite? Hmm. I liked it, but I did prefer 1 and 3 more. My favorite show of all time is probably Farscape, in terms of utter, consistent kickass quality, but Who would be up there for me. I don't know that Dexter would, it just doesn't gut me like the first two (or The X-Files, etc. for that matter), but I do think it's an AMAZINGLY GOOD show.

I think S2 might just be my favorite because it was the first season I actually really sat down and watched. I had seen bits of the pilot episode, but that's all I had seen of S1.

I think Dexter is up there for me because I think that everything about it is so amazing, and also it's the only show I sit down and watch on the TV as it's airing (I usually just watch stuff online or on DVDs).

Oh, well, yeah that would make a difference.

For me, it's weird, but the last two seasons, I've wound up being behind on episodes to the point where I just decide to wait until it's all done so I can enjoy it in one fell swoop, and I do. I really, really do.

I only do that with shows I like but don't want to really spend the time on when I can't afford to. I watch Bones in one fell swoop, usually, but I bet watching Dexter like that is more effective because of its narrative style (that's what I did with S2, actually, I watched it on On Demand).

Yeah. I think if I was more into the series, I'd watch them weekly, but this week, so much time passed between watching the first episode that when I got to episode six, I hadn't really gotten into the meat of the story yet, so it was easy to just wait because no cliffhangers, etc. to really get me going.

And watching it in one fell swoop is AWESOME!

I did that with season two. I watched all of season two in one day, and was like O_o at the end. It was pretty awesome.
