I didn't think so in terms of Eli because I was too busy internally squeeing over Eli and Maggie and the awesomeness of it being ELI they were there for, but I did think David would get shot. Actually I thought the future reveal at the end was going to BE David getting shot and Eli realizing that he needs to wait a bit before rushing headlong with his visions because David is going to be shot because of what Eli did. Obviously, it didn't go that way.
