I do not know *HOW* I missed this, but Kelly's reaction to Britney Spears shaving her head (admittedly eons ago, again, HOW DID I MISS THIS?!?!?)? Every single reason (okay, other than her singing) rolled into less than a minute that perfectly illustrates why I love her so. Just watch. Seriously, watch. It's 52 seconds. And it is so flippin' adorable. JUST WATCH!

I did this last year and actually did a pretty good job in picking more than half of the eventual top 12, and I also had the final three listed in my faves, so I figured, eh, might as well do it again.

Word to those who want to watch these auditions really quickly -- fastforward through the bad performances, you get through a two-hour show in about 40 minutes or less. I actually got through 4 hours worth in an hour. Go me!! Is it me and my fast-forwarding, though, or were there less bad vocalists than normal? Have *GASP* the producers actually paid attention to the fact that they had WAY too many bad ones last year?

I decided to grab most of the wallpapers I've ever made (there were a few that I just don't know what I was thinking, so they're not included). They vary in quality as some go back at least five years. Some are pretty simple, others not so much. They're from different fandoms with an emphasis on a few. I have different sizes 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x800 for some of them, some only are a few sizes, some only one, some all three. Just click on the categories below. (I'm sorry for the pre-cut length, but figuring out the html to get all of the different sizes was a bitch to figure out and this was the best way I could do it.)

RCA SUPPORTS KELLY: Despite rumor-mongering from the U.K. Daily Star and other online sources, there is no dispute between Kelly Clarkson and the RCA Music Group. These rumors began after the SBMG International meetings in Las Vegas a couple of weeks back and were based on an inaccurate report about Clive Davis' presentation of Kelly's new LP at the confab. Sources who were there insist the chatter is not true. In fact, Davis specifically stated that Kelly is “one of the top four artists at Sony BMG” and wanted to ensure that she is treated as such. There are absolutely no plans to scrap the LP. Meanwhile, Richard Palmese's promo team is working round the clock to deliver Kelly's first single, “Never Again,” to trigger the release of what all are convinced is a chart-topping album.

That's a relief.

I really do love both of them and I really, really think the show wants them in the final two. They are two of the three best singers (Lakisha being the other one), but I think they're pushing Jordin over Lakisha because (a) she's on par vocally (although, technically, I think Lakisha is better, but Jordin has better diction when she sings) and (b) Lakisha comes across as stand-offish whereas Jordin is just so utterly delightful. As for Melinda/Jordin as the final two, I think Melinda is a better singer, but I think Jordin is more marketable and she too has got a fabulous voice ... and the former is WHY I think the judges are pimping her to a RIDICULOUS degree!
