So Derek and Mark's band (now called Ballas Hough Band) have a new song, and the video is ADORABLE!!! It's mostly this season's cast of celebs and pros, as well as some other appearances, and honestly, it's just such a delight to watch.

It's called "Hold Up My Heart" -- I just purchased it off of I-Tunes (never let it be said that I do not financially support my Idol loves). I really like it; it's spare and simple, sweet with Brooke's signature voice. It's just so Brooke. Won't break any records, but I like it. SQUEE!! She's going to be performing it tonight on Idol supposedly. Can't wait!! :)

ETA: Seriously, I've been listening to this non-stop over and over and I just love it, love it!! It's so sing-a-long-able to.

I'm babysitting the niece/nephews tonight and my sister hasn't heard/seen the new Kelly song/video, so I thought I'd show her. Well, the kids liked it, so while getting ready for bed I put the video on and just decided that since despite the fact that I've watched it five or six times, I still love it so, I'd post about it.

Okay, so I finally got around to watching all of the performances. I know it's long gone and over, but I HAVE to give my two cents worth (which is more like twenty dollars worth) about this because of all of the outrage and commentary over the performance night and results. And I have to say that there IS rightful outrage over Carly leaving over a performer who gave a disastrous performance and SHOULD have gone based on that performance ... if this show was ACTUALLY a singing competition (which it's not, but more on that later). That performer is, however, NOT Brooke White ... by ANY stretch of imagination. At all.

I'm so happy for him (and me) because I love his voice, his lyrics, his music. Yay, yay, yay. Take that! Randy, Simon and Paula!!!!!!! (Ooh, if it wasn't for Brooke, I'd SOOOO be done with AI this year.) Now just give me some good Danny Noriega news and I'll be on AI cloud 9!

I did listen to the leaked stuff, but since it's officially out now, I thought I'd post my thoughts. I picked the CD up at midnight at Walmart because I am obsessed. LOL!

Listening to the radio on the way home this morning and the DJ said that the rumors are flying that Kelly Clarkson played her album for Clive Davis and some other people and he completely ripped it apart and that it's been scrapped.

Well, I headed on over to ohnotheydidnt and sure enough there was a post on it from this source.

Well, sorta ... these are more the songs that when I heard them, I fell completely in love to the point that I played them ad nauseum, literally HOURS in a row. I'm not proud of some of the choices (Bob, I'm looking at you) but for whatever the reason, these songs CLICKED with me! They aren't all by my fave singers/groups (although, JG/KC are included) and in some cases, it's the only song by them I like (helloooo, Carrie!), but these songs are ones I can listen to over and over and over again and never get tired of them. I do not know why, but here they be.
