I'm not sure why, but I don't like to think that they were having sex, I think they'd loose their relationship would lookse it's innocence if it were confirmed. I like to think of them as someone said on here, just two best friends who were in love. As a viewer I gloried in the little hints that they were in love but couldn't/wouldn't tell eachother, like in The Impossible Planet/ The Satan Pit. I just loved the "will they? wont they?" storylines, it just makes their story more tragic... it sort of appears to me a kind of forbidden love story.
Although I do admire your theory, I'd just prefer it if it wasn't true. *blushes*
