You should, it's so wonderful seeing all of these threads that RTD laid out throughout the series that culminates in the end of the Rose arc in JE.
I haven't seen BW for years but the scene where he thinks Rose has been killed has always remained in my mind as one of CE's finest. Interesting, isn't it, how the pattern recurs in "Utopia" where again the Doctor and Jack hug on the words "She's alive!" - and for the first time you get a sense that what unites them matters more than the enormous things that divide them.
Oh, I hadn't even thought of how similar those two are, but you're so right. I'll have to make note of that when I get to the "Utopia" rewatch-review.
I love your meta. In fact, your post about Ten being happy post-JE was the final thing that made me make my peace with Journey's End. (Which is awkward, because I'm smack in the middle of a WIP where Rose and Brown Ten end up together).
Again, thank you so much. I'm so glad that that post helped some people get over their lingering JE issues. Although, don't worry about that WIP, I still enjoy Rose getting back to Ten fics if they're well-done too. That's the great thing about fanfic, you get the best of all worlds.
It was a good follow-up to the audio commentry on the DVD set, which makes it very clear that you're thinking along similar lines to RTD and DT - and you can't really be in better company than that.
Seriously, I was so frickin' happy when I found out that RTD and DT (especially Rusty) were in the same frame of mind as I was about how events transpired in JE. Made me all giddy inside. :D
