I agree with absolutely everything you've said in this review (well, except for the Mickey=purely booty call and whether or not they were shagging in S2, though this review wasn't really about those episodes ;)).
Seriously though, this two-parter was just so well-done. The first part built wonderfully by itself, all while leading into part 2 just as well. Also, each of the characters' stories worked out great, and could Eccleston have been more amazing? That scene where Rose is disintegrated, he's silently devastated, and Jack freaks out completely? Love it.
