Billie actually talked about lip-syncing and said she did it mainly because she was afraid of screwing up and disappointing her fans. When she did her mini-US tour she sang live and said that she loved it and when she did her next album she'd be singing live. And then her next album was scrapped and her music career was over. I have heard one live performance from her ("Honey to the Bee") and it wasn't great -- and you could HEAR her nerves -- but it was fine, she didn't sound much different than she did recorded.
I don't love MLWSWY, but I like it a lot, and the verses are great. I think this album will basically be Bway 2.0 which is fine, that was a good album, but I think that MD was a much stronger, richer, deeper album. Oh well.
