True, about PH, but the point is still there -- he didn't have chemistry with her. And I like CC as well, but she and JD -- especially considering the type of scenes they had -- SHOULD have been smoking and you just called them "okay." Also, because there was a little, I didn't mention it, but the chemistry was just so-so with Hannah chick also. I love JD, I think he's enormously talented and charismatic, but I don't think he has chemistry with everyone. It's just that the people he DOES have chemistry (Amanda Seyfried, Francis Capra, Teddy Dunn, and of course, Kristen Bell) he has FABULOUS chemistry with.
Oh, I agree with you re: writing, but the thing is even if we get another season, I don't think we'll get that discussion ... ever. As long as it ends with them willing to take the chance again, or an open door, and there's no new season with a new batch of love interest and contrived dramatic crap thrown in the mix, we can postulate from what we have that they finally do talk about it and work out the issues without canon destroying it.
