Oh, how interesting -- I never thought of that. With my reality show conspiracy theory bias, I just assumed production might've nudged them in the right direction. (I would've thought kids might be the opposite: impulsive and quick to temper. But that's why I don't work with them, nor do I have any :p )
As I mentioned, I was impressed with how the kids were dividing up the work among themselves -- I know the show had to have a contingency plan with the various "teams" -- but I would've almost rather seen how they worked on their own "terms." I noticed all the in-fighting didn't really escalate until they were divided, and competing against each other.
But it was much better than I thought it would be. :D
