I don't know I don't have many X-Files fans on my flist, but for those who are ... if you see or hear of some sale of the complete DVD set (and not the slim set, the one with the specials), please let me know. I have both movies, but kept waiting to get the DVDs (because I had them all on tape, well the Mulder years), and now I really do want to get the complete set. So yeah, if anyone hears of some sale, please let me know. :)
arabian: (Dr Who (10) - Kiss)
Hehehe, so I have a Billie Piper google alerts and I got this one. Hehehe.
Sure, the Doctor (version II, anyway) eventually got to tell Rose Tyler he loved her, and they shared a nice smooch in Doctor Who's season 4 finale. But if you watched the Confidential, you know that actors David Tennant and Billie Piper provided much sweatier minutes of mackage than the two-second bit that was deemed appropriate for the kiddies. (I suggest watching it in slow motion for maximum shortness of breath.)

Hehehehe.

Note: Mulder/Scully fans, there's also an ultra-hot kiss between the duo from Fight the Future that was recently released on the Blu-Ray release of FTF included (and is what inspired) the article (not beddable).

Yes, the similarities between the two shows has been mentioned here and there, but they were based on the premise and not the relationship factor. Now I could be completely wrong, completely crazy, completely something, but I think it's possible that the Eleventh Hour's Hood/Rachel could become this decade's X-Files's Mulder/Scully. I know, I know it sounds crazy because on the surface other than the FBI being involved and them being male/female leads, how could I even entertain the thought? I mean, hello, it's MULDER AND SCULLY!!! Well, read on ... )

Does anyone agree? Or, uhm, even watch 11H on my flist?

Beautiful, wonderful review of The X-Files movie that totally sealed WHY I loved it and harkened it to the best of the series' two-parter (aside from the MSR). It does spoil aspects of the film, so be wary, but check it out if you've seen the movie or are already spoiled to a degree.

Massive movie spoilers in the comments now.

I really liked the first X-Files movie, and I loved parts of it ... but this one? Oh, I just loved EVERYTHING about it! It was AWESOME!!! Ignore the stupid critics, it was kick-kick-ass!!! As a Mulder fan, I loved every moment, so in character, so him. As a Sculy fan, I loved every moment, so in character, so her. As a Mulder/Scully shipper, I loved every moment. Spoiler about their relationship. )

As an X-Files fan, I loved it. It was creepy, freaky, out there, funny, serious, dramatic, with the pieces all tying together perfectly like a kick-ass two parter of the series itself. Which is a high compliment because I thought that every kick-ass two-parter was better than most movies. The performances were fabulous, the writing fabulous, the direction (go CHRIS!) fabulous.

AWESOME MOVIE!

A few episode-related spoilers in the movie that delighted the X-phile in me, and few non-plot essential thingies from the film. )

Finally, I'm not putting this behind the cut as a spoiler because I REFUSE to spoil it. Stay past the credits. Period. And don't let anyone tell you not to. It was awesome, wonderful, fabulous, beyond anything I could have imagined and brought a near-shout of glee from me in the theater as I clapped and grinned with unadulterated joy. It was a perfect, lovely gift and it was completely unexpected. And, yes, even with all I just wrote, I honestly can not expect anyone -- who is in no way spoiled -- to figure out what is SO fabulous about it. Just stay past the credits. You will not regret it if you're a fan.

GO SEE THIS MOVIE!! It's awesome. My sister watched the show on and off, and she really, really liked it. Seriously, I want this movie in my hands NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved it!!!!!!

OMG! OMG! OMG! Literally? I screamed when I read it. L-I-T-E-R-A-L-L-Y!!! AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Exclusive: The X Files 2 Starts Shooting Dec. 10
Source: Diva
October 29, 2007

After years of David Duchovny talking about the sequel, and almost 10 years after the first feature, 20th Century is finally ready to start production on The X Files 2 with the actor in place to reprise his role of Special Agent Fox Mulder. Gillian Anderson is also expected to be back on board to play Special Agent Dana Scully.

Shooting is scheduled to begin on December 10 in Vancouver under the direction of series creator Chris Carter. Carter and Frank Spotnitz wrote the script.

The studio is referring to the film in casting breakdowns as "Done One."

The popular series ran on Fox from 1993 to 2002. Rob Bowman directed the first feature, which hit theaters on June 19, 1998.

So, I've spent all morning watching XF clips and music videos on YouTube, and, it's just soooo easy to slip back into the love I feel so strongly for this show, this couple. I can't wait, wait, wait, until I have enough money to sit down and start buying the DVDs. And I really, really, REALLY hope that the 2nd movie actually IS going to happen soon this time because I miss my original, big-time, ohmygod, I'm so obsessed couple.

More info on the movie and can I just say I'm so relieved!?!?

See article. )

As much as I did enjoy the first movie -- and I really did! -- I wished when I first heard about it that it was going to be a stand-alone, and not conspiracy, but of course, it was conspiracy, so I'm really glad to hear that this will be stand-alone. They have some absolutely fabulous stand-alones that could easily be stretched another hour, so I'm really, really, REALLY looking forward to it. And, of course, hopefully, Mulder and Scully will be having sex now!!!!!!!!!! since it was certainly implied towards the end of the series that they were.

Sigh, I was always of the belief that that is exactly how CC should have just done it, not make a big deal about it, but just small random things like his tie at her place, a comment here or there that clearly implied that they were romantically together. Just never made a big deal of because, except for a kiss here or there to throw a bone because honestly most MSers who loved the show didn't want the format changed to accommodate a relationship, we just wanted it acknowledged that they were together. That's it.

Anyhoo, looking forward to it so much and itching to finally get the DVDs now.

He tells it like it is and no, I can not wait!!!!!!!!

A movie sequel to hit television show The X-Files is being written after the actors who played special agents Mulder and Scully agreed to star.

Starpulse.com reported David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson were set to reprise their roles as special agents 'Spooky' Mulder and Dana Scully. Duchovny told Starpulse The X-Files creator Chris Carter and writer Frank Spotnitz were working on a script.

"This week, they're starting some kind of road towards doing it (the film). Gillian and I both want to be in it now. We're happy to do it." Duchovny said the "fatigue and anxiety" that ended the show's nine-season run had gone. "We've forgotten why we hate one another and can only remember why we love one another and we're very happy to go back."
