I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who finds Maggie so adorable. She really is. I think that some underestimate JG's talent, I think she does a wonderful job with conveying so much with so little. In the scene you referenced, there was the "ohshit" expression, but also sadness that it took him so long, happiness that he obviously cared, and worry about Taylor's reaction.
I just kept thinking that he was still really on that balcony, and I kept picturing Nate walking out with some more beers and seeing Eli wibbling at a potted plant or something.
Heh, I didn't even think of that. That would have been funny if they had shown that. Might've killed the moment, though, I'll give 'em that.
Also, is it just me, or does Nate look just enough like Neil Patrick Harris to be a passable older Doogie Howser? Whenever I see him in that lab coat, that is where my mind goes. And I giggle.
