(who don't watch American Idol) behind the cut.

I don't want to spoil any American Idol viewers on my list if they don't want to be spoiled -- although, there really is no way of not giving the hint of it at least with my pre-cut text, but I tried. Anyhoo, I know I have a few SYTYCD fans (Hi, Gerrie!) on here who don't watch AI. Well, try and watch "Idol Gives Back" this Wednesday because Nigel pulled some of the dancers from all three seasons of So You Think You Can Dance to perform. It's the opening, but some of the dancers show up throughout the show, so if you can TIVO or DVR it, go for it and just fast-forward through it if you're so inclined.

Here's the paragraph about it from a spoiler on IGB that was taped on Sunday:

Suddenly, what sounded like Rihanna's "Don't Stop the Music" began pumping through the speakers, but I honestly didn't pay too much attention to the song because I was too busy freaking out that Nigel had employed the So You Think You Can Dancers — from all three seasons — to start the show! That's right: Benji, Danny, Travis, Nick, Donyelle, Heidi, Hok, Lacey, Pasha, Dmitry, Lauren — and that's all I could make out; there was at least a dozen more. The remaining eight Idols emerged early to sing a few verses of "Don't Stop the Music," but they quickly moved to the side to give the dancers their stage.

You know she'd HAVE to be there, being the special pet and all. Yeah, I've mostly gotten over my Lauren hate. I'm just hoping that the person writing it didn't recognize Neil and that he'll be there too. I will cry copious tears (not really, but I will be bummed) if Neil is not there. Especially since I'd have the opportunity of having NEIL!! and BROOKE!! (my two recent reality faves) on the same stage!!!

Eh, he probably won't be there knowing my luck, but Lauren is there. Yeah, ugh.

Did you read on ONTD about him getting a role in Altar Boyz? I don't know how soon that's starting but that might be a reason he's not on A.I.

Yeah, I read about that and wondered if that might be the case. I'm trying to remember if it hasn't started yet, though. Hoping anyway. If so, that's likely the reason, I'm sure.

Thanks for the heads-up, I don't watch AI but I do enjoy SYTYCD so I will have to remember to check that out this Wednesday. Wohoo for Travis being there. Hope Neil is there as well.

Thanks for cluing me in because I did NOT know this and I do want to see the dancers. I still have a lot of love for many of them (no matter how boring they are as teachers (hello Danny) or jerky they act sometimes outside the stage. Still I love them so I will tape this to watch later.

I find this so...random. I mean, the AI kids can't dance (presumably) and the SYTYCD kids can't sing. This could either be totally entertaining or a complete trainwreck. :/

(I also think it's a little early to promote SYTYCD...why not wait until the AI finale if you're going to bring them out? :/ )
