SYTYCD - Top 20 ...

Well, one my two faves (I realized they were my two faves as I kept hoping for them throughout the night the most) made it! Yay!!! (Boo, HUGE BOO!, to the other one not making it.) I will say I was really annoyed by how this night went because I wanted to know who the heck the dancers were. At least in the final groups, they should have said all of their names. So, so annoying. I was so frustrated with how they didn't acknowledge so many, and then spent so much time on those who were ultimately cut. Sigh.



First, oh, Jeremiah. Hopefully, he DID mean what he said at the end, he'll get his act together and come back next year because he really is very pretty. And a great dancer. I'm bummed about Sheila Kaiser, partly because I have no idea WHY she was cut. I mean, come on, show, let us know why those who made it THAT far were cut. For real.

Finally, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Evan didn't make it through!?!?!? Why the hell not!??! Ooh, I'm even more pissed about not knowing why he didn't make it. What the hell is wrong with them? He was sensational. He was my other favorite besides Courtni. DAMNIT!!!! Well, I guess it's safe to say who I'm rooting for starting out.

- Courtney Galliano ... She's a wonderful dancer and I do like her.
- Chelsie Hightower ... She's good, but she never stood out for me, so we'll see what I think in the top 20 round.
- Susie Garcia ... Not surprised. She is a good dancer, but, I'm sorry she looks so cheap and trampy. I'm sorry, but she does. And unfair or not, I'm predisposed against her because of that. I can't help it, I'm being honest.
- Chelsea Trea (sp?) ... I do not remember her at all. We'll find out in the top 20 round.
- COURTNI LIND ... YAY!!!!!!!!!! She and Evan were my absolute favorites going in tonight, so I'm THRILLED!!! Yay, yay, yay!!!! Every time I saw her go through in the background, I was like "ooh, Courtni's still there!" And she made it to the top 20. YAY!!!
- Joshua Allen ... He is good, and I do like him, but he didn't grab me prior to this round. We'll see what happens in the top 20. (Note, I'm still pissed about Evan. Could be coloring my opinion now. Grrrr.)
- Twitch - I DO like Twitch, so I'm glad he made it. I liked him last year, and I like him this year.
- Kherington Payne ... I like her, I didn't like her enough to post about her in the first couple of auditions, but I did like her. So, good for her.
- Rayven Armeno ... I only remembered that we saw her before tonight when I saw the spelling of her name.
- Matt Dorme ... ??? Top 20 round.
- Thanye Jasperson (?) ... I think they did show him, but he didn't grab me enough to jot his name down. So, yuppers, top 20 round.
- Marquis Cunningham ... YAY!!!!! I have no idea who he is, have never seen him before on the show, but he's harper47's boy (from her dance studio). SO YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I literally screamed when I heard his name, Gerrie!!! (See, another Neil, LOL!) And based on what I saw tonight? He's now my eye candy for the season.
- Mark Camamuro (sp?) ... I think the bit we saw of him tonight was good.
- Comfort ... I like her.
- Jamie Bayard ... No flippin' clue. Top 20.
- Chris Gerose ... I remember him, but not enough to well, remember him. Top 20.
- Jessica King ... I really liked her in tonight's show. So another yay!
- William Wingfield ... I think I remember him, but not enough to remember him, so top 20. Hmm, I wonder if the Debbie judge-cut was because of the uproar over Lauren (ugh!!) last year and the utter favoritism lavished upon her so unfairly. Top ten, my ass, Lauren shouldn't have made the top twenty.
- Gev ... Don't remember him, but I remember the name. Ah well, top 20.
- Katee ... They should have cut her. If she's ready to give up now, yeah, they should have cut her. There are so many dancers who would so love her spot. I'm sure it's tough, I have no idea how hard it could be, but it was just the wrong attitude. Ah well. She was the better dancer, okay. The attitude just bugs.

Man, only ONE of the six I wrote up made it. Lame. Sigh, at least it was my favorite, but damnit, I'm STILL pissed over Evan and probably will be through the first couple of weeks of the show. I'm bitter and hold onto my favorites for awhile.

But, yay, COURTNI LIND!!!!!!!!

I know! I know! So excited. He is the Noel of the competition though there were a couple of others who we didn't see either - Jamie, the other Chelsea.

I'm too excited over Marquis - and he's got a great personality. I really hope he gets a chance to showcase it. Plus the boy can dance like nobody's business. Hee!

I was bummed over Evan too. I liked Courtney and Mark based on appearances alone. Everyone else I'm sort of judging on cut and I'm already a little over Twitch. Man could he have got more camera time? And Susie the teacher who looks like a stripper? Just uck.

Well I didn't like Debbie Allen as a judge last year so I'm fine with her not judging. And I hope it is because of Lauren. Hopefully they did learn something.

I really can't judge anyone yet.

And Jennifer, someone who knows Khortni has been posting lots of nasty stuff about her already on TWOP. So be forewarned if you venture there. (seeing as how that is your favorite place - hee!)

I would not have picked Katee either. I thought for sure Kelli Baker would have made it but . . . in one way it's probably good they didn't because if she had the HSM kids voting for her, it would be a landslide in a bad way.

I have no idea how far Marquis will go but I'm just so excited for him. You know he made that Dance Wars show just to get cut in LA so I told Kiersten see, sometimes you get cut and get something better. So I hope Evan gets something better. I still loved his dance.

I do try my best to avoid TWoP now. I only go to read forums where I can get that discussion nowhere else. Thanks for the warning, though, I'll be sure to avoid it.

Yay, once more for Marquis. I hope he's showcased enough next week that he doesn't go home because people don't know who he is. Stupid producers.

Now, I'm curious about how the pair-ups will be.

Aw you love it! I just have a question do you think Kelly has seriously reduced her range or she chooses to sing lower notes now? I have NEVER heard her in the last year and a half hit the same 'again' note in SUBG or 'anymore' in BTHE. She has an upper register but has she strained her voice, in your opinion?

I LOVE HER and her album is expected this fourth quarter.

She's been messing her voice up for years. She doesn't take care of it, and it doesn't help that she kept recording songs (and then singing them live) like BTHE which were already OUT of her range and were just made "in" her range by studio equipment. I love the girl dearly, but she's shown to be a bit dim when taking care of her voice.

I just tonight got around to watching this, which I'd DVR'd last night. I really have a hard time remembering people when there are this many contestants left, and putting names to faces (I tend to remember them as, like, "really cool popper guy" or "girl with two-tone hair") but I did have a few comments....

I'm so glad Twitch made it. I was going to be really sad if he didn't. I don't know how far he'll get, but I like him.

What is with all the funky spellings of names??

I thought it was AWFUL they made it come down to the best friends for the last spot. They were just doing that for drama's sake, and that bothers me.
