'Walk of Life' Nine/Rose fanvid

I've been working on this video on and off for about a week now (way too many hours to count) and I'm finally done. Thanks to eolivet and my sister -- who had an decidedly unbiased opinion as she doesn't watch the show -- for helping me out.

This is all Nine/Rose. I didn't cheat and even grab experiences from series two. Everything is from series one, all Nine (okay, okay, one teeny clip from series 3). Anyhoo, first vid in this fandom, first video in a long time. I chose Billie Piper's song "Walk of Life" because it just called to me. I NEVER do (make or watch) videos where the gender doesn't match the point of view, but yet this song -- sung by a female -- is from the Doctor's perspective. So I broke my own rule. Again, the song just called to me and would not let go, and I figured, hey, it can be narration and, and ... it's Billie Piper, for goodness sake, that has to count for something!

That was GREAT! Awesome. Lovely. Fantastic. I enjoyed it immensely, especially because of all the angsty videos that tend to be done for the Doctor and Rose (Either Nine or Ten or both). This is great. I like to favorite videos like this so when I need a good pick-me-up, I go find them

I love the angsty vids, but it's nice to have fun ones and I'm just not an angst person. Not vids, not fic, not anything. I can write angsty fic, but it HAS to have a happy ending. Vids? Too short to be anything but as happy as I can make 'em.

Glad you like it. I do love Ten, but I see so many more vids for Ten/Rose or a mixture that I wanted to do one devoted to JUST Nine/Rose.

Do you mean the part where he's walking (Don't let me walk alone, that lyric)? If so, yeah, that's from "Father's Day" after he and Rose had their little argument at the flat and he takes off.

No. Sorry, I should’ve been more specific. It’s at 2:03, and he and Rose are standing at the Tardis console. I think the lyrics were something like, “There’ll always be a place for you.”

Thank you. I tried really hard to match all of the clips not only with the beats of music but with the lyrics playing out. I wanted each one to match the emotion or motive behind the scene. I'm so happy that you saw that in the video. Yay!

I admit, I LOVE Billie Piper, the pop star. There's a few I'm eh on, but I like most of them and ADORE quite a few. My favorite is actually "Honey to the Bee" -- and it SOOO fits Doctor/Rose.

I'd love to, but it's too romantic/sexual literally in nature to work with a couple who barely have any physical interaction beyond hugs and hand-holding. The two (three, if you count the Cassandra one) kisses and lingering looks are lovely, but, yeah, that song just drips with sexuality, and the clips aren't just there to truly support the song.

This is wonderful. And in context, the fast parts of the chorus aren't too choppy at all -- they work really well (yay for sticking to your guns!!) You captured so many of their best moments, but I will say that you also managed to find moments perfectly timed to the tempo of the music (and that's difficult!!) The lyrics are great, too...very appropos. :)

No, I slowed them down. There are only two or three per "all you could see" whereas before there were about five or six. So, you helped definitely.
