Non-fangirly Moffat community?

Hear me out. It was jokingly suggested by a couple of people in my TDD rewatch-review that there should be a club for those who don't like Moffat because there are hosannas sung to him everywhere else and I seriously began thinking on the idea.

Now, I'm not saying a place to just bash him, because that's not my style. But a place for posts like my Moffat-non-fan post, shinyopals' Moffat-non-fan post, butterfly's recent post on some info she found out.

With more info coming out about Moffat's run, we could have a place to openly discuss our issues with Moffat in an open forum (that likely would have to be closed membership, LOL) without worrying about the hosannas coming in.

Any thoughts? And if you ARE interested, pimp this post on your lj so anyone else who is interested can share their thoughts. I've got a pretty small flist, but I know some people ON my flist have pretty massive ones in the DW community who'd totally go for an idea like this.

I'd certainly be interested. I like reading insightful reasons to dislike Moffat as opposed to me internal babble of "sucky sucky sucky suck."

Hmm. I'm a bit torn, because I'm not sure I want to spend that much time thinking about Moffat! On the other hand, it would be nice to have all the very valid reasons to be disappointed that he took over the helm for S5 all collected together.

Yeah, I'm the same. Obviously I enjoy a good rant about things (as you may have noticed) but most of the time I prefer not to really think about it at all!

If one existed, I would probably join, because it would be nice to meet those I don't know who share my opinion. But I mostly concentrate my time in fandom on the positive, with the occasional veering into anti-Moffat territory, so I might not be as active as might be expected from someone who wrote the essay-of-DOOM!

That would be another big reason, and I don't see why we can't be positive and still be anti-Moffat as butterfly's post turned out being, I think.

Oh, I just didn't mean a place to vent negatively about him, which is why I deliberately did not call it an ANTI-Moffat group. I meant like your post with information that then developed into a lot of disucssion.

Like you said, we'll all likely be following it if only for our great love of the show and curiosity to see what's going to happen. And like how you're thread basically became a place where those of us with like-minds thought and allowed our feelings to come forth without being defensive. Also, we can discuss Moffat episodes and such without worrying about the Moffat-brigade getting on our backs.

Basically, I was just thinking of a place where those of us who are Who fans who don't worship Moffat, and it's a place where we can openly discuss him.

Exactly. That's what I'm thinking. It was really nice in your post, reading the comments because it was so open and friendly and filled with like-minded on Moffat, RTD and the show.

I'll invite you to the community. It's pretty inactive now because the idea came on the heels of some upcoming S5 potential info was discussed already in another thread (but we may repost it), I'm not sure. But yeah, I'll invite you.
