Got around to watching Top Chef ... yay.

Sigh, my Jeff. I'd say I'm not surprised, but I'd be lying. I certainly didn't think he'd go this soon, and I certainly thought the editing was pointing towards Fabio. In addition, Fabio's dish and attitude at the judges' table was much worse than Jeff's it seemed. So, I don't know. I'm really surprised that Jeff went now. Sigh. I felt so bad for him because he didn't cook badly, he just did too much ... again. Oh, Jeff.

Ah well, still, I have Carla. I do love her too and maybe this was a turning point for her and we will see her with that momentum. Or maybe this was her shining moment? I don't know. I'm bummed about Jeff, but I knew he wouldn't win. I just wish he'd gone further.

Your cut tag summarizes MY EXACT THOUGHTS AS I MAINLINE TOP CHEF EACH WEEK! I would eat virtually none of what was made (with the maybe exception of the steaks), but I watch it all the time anyway. I was sad to see Jeff go, but I'm glad Fabio's still around because I love when he plays all self-aware of his Italian-ness/charm, like when he was hosting the wedding shower and talking about how the ladies would melt or hosting in Restaurant Wars and basically saying the same thing.

I do like Fabio, but in this instance, and taking into account the whole season, Fabio REALLY should have gone over Jeff. Sigh. Poor Jeff.

I'm not surprised when I saw who the other two up for elimination were -- and I knew Tom would take this opportunity to take out Jeff. I do admit I was slightly hopeful when Fabio was SO disrespectful, but Tom had Jeff in the cross-hairs, and wouldn't be denied. :/

I was psyched Carla won, as well -- I'm hoping she has a late burst of energy. If she leaves before Leah, I'll be REALLY annoyed (she's better TV now that Hosea and Leah aren't making out anymore :/ )

Oh, once I saw they were the three up, I figured Jeff was likely going, but the editing pre that determination I thought bespoke of Fabio's ouster.

Yeah, Tom hates Jeff, and based on his exit interview? The feeling's mutual.

Hee, I've actually been watching this season, and your cut tag=SO TRUE FOR ME, TOO. Which makes me wonder WHY I watch, but...I've been enjoying it!

And, yeah, Jeff was my favorite, too--I knew he wouldn't make it to the end, but I was still hoping he'd pull it out. SIGH. I do enjoy Carla and Jamie, and I don't, like, HATE Fabio, but it's still not the SAME.

I've found that I really enjoy the career-based reality shows, I like seeing people do their thang! I knew he didn't have a shot at winning due to the editing, but I really hoped (and thought!) he'd make it to top 3. Damn you, Collichio.
