Yeah, done with AI this season

I gave 'em three weeks of singing (including the semi's) and no one -- and I mean NO ONE -- has even remotely held my interest, impresses me, etc. And I actively loathe more than a couple of the singers. So, yeah, American Idol has lost me this year. Oh well.

Aww. :( Well, it was going to be hard to top last season. Still, I'll miss your analysis. :( But watching a show you have no interest in is certainly no fun, so I respect your decision. :)

Yup. I tried and it's disappointing because I really do enjoy watching and discovering singers, but I based my decision on how long it took me to find my faves in previous seasons and the longest it took was three weeks. So, there ya go. It doesn't help that we already know the final two will be Gokey and Lambert, with a possible upset by Lil Rounds or Alexis Grace, but I expect the final four to be in this order: Lil, Alexis, Lambert, Gokey. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty positive about the final two and I loathe those two so much there are no words.

Didn't help that Alexis sang "Jolene" last night, and it just reminded me of how much more I liked Brooke's version. :/ Oh, S7...you are hard to live up to. :x

I'll thank you, in any event, for first noticing the overhyped-ness of Danny Gokey. :p You were definitely a trendsetter in that respect. :)

Oh well...I'll look forward to your other reality show recaps. :)

Yup, I was like noooooooooooooooooo! when I heard she was singing that because she really was my only hope for this season. She has a good voice, but I just do NOT like her phrasing of songs. When she started I thought, 'okay, it will be a slower/softer version,' but then she just went into overkill again and Brooke's was soooooooooooooo much better.

Oh, btw, I doubt she'll make final four now if DialIdol is any indication. But Gokey/Lambert (most indulgent joke EVER on Idol!!!/Rounds will be final three. The Gokey pimpfest is JUST ridiculous.

Oh well...I'll look forward to your other reality show recaps. :)

Thanks, but other than DwTS, I'm not much moved by Survivor or TAR (although, I'm still enjoying both). I like the secret four-alliance on Survivor, but I'm not moved to post about it yet. Maybe next week, LOL!

I agree. I've never been a regular AI watcher (I watched seasons 3, 4, and 6) but I've seen a little of this one and there are no good standouts. Too much repetition of songs is another problem that contributes to the snooze factor.

Yup. I've found favorites from EVERY season but not this one. Really by far, THE worst batch eve.

I gave up on AI 2 seasons ago. I just get tired of seeing the same type of singers, singing the same songs, and the same stupid comments from the judges.

My problem isn't the singers because some freshness sneak in generally (Brooke and Cook last year -- they were/are both fabulous), but overall, yeah. This year, just sucks.
