I could be wrong, but I checked "best week ever" and the other top 12 contestants on youtube and only Brooke and Cookie showed up ... which just proves that those two are MADE OF THE AWESOME.

First there was Brooke's: Best Week Ever presents ... Brooke White Stops and Starts the Classics

Now, there is David Cook on "Idol Chit-Chat" being just as hilariously awesome as Brooke. Damn, they would have made the second-best final two EVER!!! (With Cookie winning then too. Yes, yes, even though Brooke is my total awesome favorite, I still think and know that Cookie would have beat her by a zillion votes.)

Man, I'm totally embedding both of these vids behind the cut just for an easy one-step click of double-the-fun laugh-out-loud funnies of Brooke & Cook!

AWESOME!

Eeeee, I think I was away the week you posted "Brooke White Starts and Stops the Classics," so thank you so much for posting it again!!! :) When I get back to work Monday, I will definitely check it out (dial-up modem and Internet clips are unmixy things, unfortunately :/ )

(And suuuuch a pretty icon. :loves: :D The TV Guide "David Cook says we need a recount" story had a pic of the top 12 during the coronation song, and poor Brooke was stuck off to the side of Michael Johns, and with...Kristy! Boo!! :/ )

Ah, well you did miss out!!! I would suggest NOT reading this until you watch it, but my original post had some more info from Brooke's thingie which adds to the humor: Here it is (http://arabian.livejournal.com/205836.html).

Yes, I remember the days of dial-up. Sucks so very much. I think it should be worth the way though for both of them. They are just both so awesome. I will die ABSOLUTELY DEAD! if they have a duet on the tour. Just dead. I'm thinking of trying to do a mash-up of Brooke and Cook's versions of "Happy Together" since they both sang them top 24. Could work, could be a disaster. LOL!

I was so bummed that Brooke wound up being so far from Cookie during the coronation. Ah well.

Thanks for the icon love. Here's another one I just made and thanks to an awesome still of them from the Ford paint commerical, I'm going to make my standard WTF? icon be a fabulous Brooke/Cook one.

(Awww, another beautiful icon -- I love the colors!!! They really stood like that...hee!! No wonder you 'shipped them. ;)

I'm thinking of trying to do a mash-up of Brooke and Cook's versions of "Happy Together" since they both sang them top 24.

Ooh, I'd listen to that. :D (and I'd totally forgotten they did that song in the same week...aww, they were both so different back then :)

I was so bummed that Brooke wound up being so far from Cookie during the coronation.

Not only Kristy, but David Hernandez?? Wha? I do like Carly and Michael, but they were definitely two of the biggest famewhores of the season, and they sure wormed their way up to the front pretty fast. :/

I eagerly await more icons. :D

Well, admittedly that's a full shot of the top 6 (I think), but yeah, they were standing like that in the shot, LOL! I feel bad saying I ship them because she is married and all, it's more like a 'what might have been ..." thing, you know. I do love them both, though.

It really could be an awful mash-up, but I'm gonna try. Go with his beginning -- which I really like -- and her ending -- which I prefer -- and then have every other line, try and blend a few lines in the middle. We'll see.

Yeah, famewhores are us, definitely those two. Geez.

Hehe, here's my WTF? icon with them. I've been meaning to make one and when I saw that shot of them I'd saved, I couldn't believe that a Brooke & Cookie shot of all of my fandoms would work so well. LOL!

I watched this weeks best week ever with my mom. When the David Cook segment came on her reaction was, "and he's charming too?" She was still trying to process the fact that he has something like 7 singles on the top 100 right now. Yes the world is being taken over by David Cook and I for one am not complaining! lol

He is charming. I've been listening to his songs nonstop and he is awesome. Watching some vids/interviews and he's just a doll. Love him. However, I confess I'm not digging the Axiom/solo album so much simply because they really, really do sound just like Daughtry and I honestly expect more originality out of him, so I'm hoping his jazz-pop-african fusion album (just kidding, per Cookie) rock album has more of a Cookie feel to it and is not just generic Daughtry-esque rock, because if we get that from his album, he'll probably get slammed for it and I don't want that to happen.

I'm actually enjoying "Dream Big" and "The Time of My Life" lately the most -- what can I say? I'm SUCH a sucker for the sappy, happy "I just won American Idol" songs -- minus Ruben's which was soooooooo boring (but Clay's "This is the Night" -- originally written for Justin Guarini's debut album -- was in the groove I like ... and with that run-on sentence from hell, I'll start a new one. I still enjoy "Always Be My Baby," "Eleanor Rigby," "Innocent," etc. but I'm just so digging those two the most right now.

Wow, really? Learn something new every day. :D

"Always Be My Baby" is probably my favorite DC studio recording. I loooove the acoustic, the falsetto...the arrangement just kills me dead. :p

Awww, once again -- beautiful icon!! :) I love profile shots!!! :D

Yuppers, that song was written for Justin's debut. I believe he recorded it, along with a bunch of others, but like Kelly's original debut album, it was scrapped completely because Kelly (and then Justin) put their foots down and refused to release albums full of AMLT schmaltz. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE AMLT, but yeah, a whole album full? Ugh, I shudder at the thought. (Alas, only one song from either of those scrapped projects was ever leaked -- Justin's "Foolish," which, dangit, I liked!!!)

I think ABMB is up there for me, but "Innocent" might actually be my favorite. I just LOVE it. I'd never heard it before so it really was new to me, and I just adored it. ABMB is probably second, with MotN third -- which is saying something as I adore Michael Crawford, but Cookie nailed it.

No more new icons, so here's an older one.

Wow, really? I'm...actually amazed they COULD refuse -- good for them!! I always got the feeling that if you dared go up against 19E, you'd pay with your career. :x But I suppose they had an advantage in being the first ones out of the gate, before Idol became the cash cow/international phenomenon it is today. :p

"Innocent" might actually be my favorite.

I keep hearing that from DC fans all over the 'Net, but I really didn't care for it during IGB week. Maybe the studio version is better? I know that was always the Jason fans' defense. :p

MotN third -- which is saying something as I adore Michael Crawford, but Cookie nailed it.

Oh God, yes -- as you may have read, the first time I heard the studio version, I nearly drove off the road. :x

LOVE the "WTF" icon, too -- I'm coveting Brooke's top, actually -- so pretty. :) The one from this post has to be older...as Cook is pre-"hawt" makeover. ;p The fact that they were close before then is awesome, too. :D

:goes to DL 'Innocent': (I kinda feel bad that I didn't buy it, so he can't make any money off of my getting it now, but I did buy six more of his songs, including his winning single, so I did contribute something to the David Cook coffers. ;)

Well, they COULDN'T destroy Kelly's career being the winner, but they did Justin's. Yeah.

Oh, are you telling me that you don't have the studio versions of all of his songs? Do I have to hook you up!?!? Seriously. Oh yeah, the live version is meh, but the recorded version is awesome. Quick linkie (http://www.mediafire.com/?9csnh9m22yt) to that for you.

(ETA: Ah you're downloading it. Well, if you haven't yet -- there's a quick link for ya.)

Yeah, that shot is top 12 or something, it is pre-makeover, but I love the look on his face.

I bought the 3 live ones from the finale, I'd already downloaded TTomL. I REALLY want to buy the three semi-finals one because the I-Tunes ones are so much better, but I can't find them. ARRGGHHH! And, of course, you know I bought all of Brooke's. Did you get her CD by chance? It's available on I-Tunes, or Amazon (for the hard copy of it)? It's REALLY good.

Semi-finals meaning..."Happy Together," "All Right Now" and "Hello?" Does that mega-link of all things DC not have the iTunes versions? I do have the iTunes version of "Hello," if you want it. :D

But I haven't gotten Brooke's CD yet, because I spent all my money on David Cook (and David Archuleta, for my sister. I now have TWO versions of "Imagine," neither of which I can stand. ;p The things we do for family... ;)

Thanks for the link...I've actually been making icons, so I haven't had a chance to DL yet. :)

Ooh, "Hello" would be nice. And no, those are just regular ripped from TV recordings there, sigh.

When you can, get Brooke's. It's really good. And unlike Cookie, her CD SOUNDS like the Brooke we know from the show (for the most part ... it wasn't her choice to "Dream On," she didn't want to do that one). In Cookie's case, it was like he was going for straight classic Rock, when he has more in his arsenal ... which we saw on the show. I'm hoping his album will showcase that.
