I have a confession to make about 'Fidelity'

You know, 'Fidelity.' The song that played over the final Logan/Veronica scene in 3.03 Wichita Linebacker. I mostly like it, but I really don't like the heart, art, art, art repetitive crap that plays through the song. But I put up with it because it's a FABULOUS Logan/Veronica scene. But now, everywhere I turn, I hear FIDELITY! I'm watching last week's Brothers and Sisters and I hear 'Fidelity.' I'm watching The Colbert Report and during a commerical, I hear 'Fidelity' in an ad for Regina Spektor's CD. Now, I'm watching a TV show tonight (I won't say which) and whaddya know!? Fucking 'Fidelity' is playing.

The universe wants me to either positively adore or despise this song with a passion. I haven't figured out which yet.

Fidelity is a great song, but SO not an accurate representation of the amazingness of Regina Spektor. Begin to Hope is an incredible album, you should check out some of the other songs on it.

I've listened to the album ... sorry, not a fan. Fidelity is the closest I come to liking her material and I really don't like the art, art, art, crap -- I think it hurts the simple beauty of the song.

It's cool, she's def. not for everyone, her style is very different. I'm glad you've listened to her other stuff, because I hate that now that Fidelity is becoming popular and being shown on VH1 she's getting judged based on that one song. I hate when people claim to be fans just because they like the song when they have no clue about her other stuff.

Yeah, that is very annoying. I've been there with artists I like, both people liking them or not liking them based on one song and having no clue what kind of performer they really are.

What's funny is that I was listening to Fidelity when I read this post! LOL. I love the song, however I'm not sure I would want to hear it everytime I turned on the television.

The thing is I listen to it every night because I listen to my LoVe songs to sleep to and that art, art, art part makes me want to gouge my eyes out, but I put up with it because of the scene.

I like how different it sounds. It's definitely original and the video kind of blew my mind when I saw it so I can't really hold a grudge even though it is overplayed a bit.

Definitely different. Hey to each their own and I certainly can appreciate that it is original, it's just not my cup of tea.
